Who this is for
This page is for independent waste carriers and clearance businesses operating in London who hold, or can hold, a valid Environment Agency upper-tier waste carrier registration (or the Scotland/Wales/Northern Ireland equivalent where relevant), and who want a steady stream of house, office, and garden clearance jobs to quote on rather than relying solely on their own advertising and word of mouth.
Why join houseclearance.co
Winning jobs usually means either spending on your own advertising, relying on repeat customers and referrals, or paying a cut to directories and lead-selling sites for contacts that may or may not convert. houseclearance.co works differently: customers post real jobs with a postcode, description, and access details, and our team shares suitable jobs with carriers who cover that area by email or phone/SMS so you can come back with a quote directly, with no cold-calling and no buying unqualified leads.
Commercial terms - whether there's a listing fee, a commission on accepted quotes, or no fee at all - are still being finalised. Nothing is being charged to carriers today, and any future terms will be published here clearly before they apply.
How quoting works from your side
When a customer posts a job in an area you cover, our team shares the job details with you - what needs clearing, the postcode, and any access notes or photos the customer has added - by email or phone/SMS, and you come back to us with a quote: your price and availability. The customer reviews the quotes we've passed on from carriers who responded and chooses one, so pricing stays competitive and transparent on both sides rather than being set centrally by houseclearance.co.
You keep control over which jobs you quote on and what you charge - houseclearance.co's role is to pass suitable jobs to the right carriers, not to dictate price or force you to take work that doesn't suit your schedule or capacity.
Requirements to join
To quote on jobs through houseclearance.co, you'll need to meet three baseline requirements. These are non-negotiable conditions of being listed: it's how we keep the carrier network made up of accountable, legitimate operators rather than anyone able to quote on a job.
EA waste carrier registration
A valid upper or lower tier waste carrier registration with the Environment Agency (or the Scotland/Wales/Northern Ireland equivalent). See Waste Carrier Licence for what that means and which tier applies to your work.
Valid insurance
Appropriate insurance cover for clearance and waste-carrying work. See Insurance and Safety for the current detail on what's expected.
A suitable vehicle
A vehicle suitable for the volume and type of waste you intend to quote on and carry, in roadworthy and legally compliant condition.
How quoting and being selected works
When a customer posts a job, our team shares the details - what needs clearing, access notes, and any photos the customer has added - with carriers who cover that postcode, and you come back to us with a quote consisting of a price and the earliest date you could do the job. The customer reviews the quotes carriers have sent back side by side and chooses one; there's no central price-setting by houseclearance.co, so competitive quotes and realistic availability are what wins work, not being first to reply.
If you're selected, the customer's contact and job details are shared so you can confirm the visit and get the job done. If you're not selected on a given job, you keep the ability to quote on the next one - there's no penalty for an unsuccessful quote.
houseclearance.co does not currently publish earnings figures, average job values, or how many jobs a carrier might expect to win - there isn't yet a live carrier network with real quoting data to base those numbers on. What's described above is how carrier sharing and quoting is designed to work once carriers are onboarded.
Vetting process
Before a carrier can quote on jobs, houseclearance.co plans to check the requirements above rather than take them on trust. This is the intended process once carrier registration opens:
- Submit your Environment Agency waste carrier registration number and business details.
- Submit proof of valid insurance covering the work you'll be quoting on.
- houseclearance.co checks the registration number and insurance details before your account is approved to quote on jobs.
- Once approved, our team will start sharing suitable jobs in the boroughs you cover so you can quote on them.
This vetting process isn't live yet - carrier registration is a planned future phase of houseclearance.co, not something you can complete on this page today. The steps above describe the intended process, not a form you can currently submit.
Coverage across London
houseclearance.co is building coverage across London boroughs - see the Coverage Map for where the site currently has borough-level content and where jobs are expected to come from as coverage expands. There's no established demand data yet for specific boroughs to share with prospective carriers - as real jobs start coming through, borough-level coverage information will be published here and on the coverage map itself.
How to express interest
Carrier registration isn't open yet - houseclearance.co does not yet have a carrier network with real, quoting carriers. If you'd like to be notified when registration opens, get in touch via Contact and select "Carrier support" as the subject - we'll let you know when it's live.

Frequently asked questions
What licence tier do I need?
A valid Environment Agency waste carrier registration is a baseline requirement - which tier (upper or lower) applies depends on the type and scale of waste you carry. See Waste Carrier Licence for how the tiers differ and how registration works. If you don't currently hold a registration, that's the first thing to sort out before carrier registration on houseclearance.co opens.
How does payment or commission work?
This genuinely isn't decided yet. Whether there's a listing fee, a commission on accepted quotes, or no fee at all is still being worked out while the platform is in development. Nothing is being charged to carriers today, and we're not going to invent a percentage here before it's actually settled - any commercial terms will be published clearly on this page before they apply to any carrier.
Which boroughs are covered?
houseclearance.co is building coverage across London boroughs - see the Coverage Map for the current picture. There's no established carrier demand data per borough yet, since the carrier network isn't processing real jobs today.
How do I express interest before registration opens?
Get in touch via Contact and select "Carrier support" as the subject. There's no registration form to submit yet, but we'll let you know when carrier registration opens.
Can I choose which jobs I quote on?
Yes. Once carrier registration is live, our team will only share job details with you before you decide whether to quote, and you're never obliged to quote on or accept a job that doesn't suit your area, schedule, or capacity.
What happens if a customer raises a complaint about my job?
Complaint-handling on the platform isn't live yet, in the same way carrier registration itself isn't live yet - houseclearance.co is not yet a carrier network processing real jobs or real complaints. As with the other requirements on this page, holding a valid waste carrier registration and appropriate insurance is the baseline that's expected to keep carriers accountable once real jobs are going through the platform.
